We got great value for our money at Lane End Cottage. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, and the location was superb. The hosts, Jo and Kevin, were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was if there was a small microwave available to heat food for our 1-year-old.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept like a dream. The shower was great too, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. It was also a great advantage that the cottage had a lovely garden where we could relax and enjoy the scenic countryside.
The lack of kitchen facilities was a major disappointment. The description did mention it, but it would have been nice to have at least a small microwave to heat up our food.

I recently stayed at Lane End Cottage for a few days and it was absolutely wonderful. The cottage itself is cosy and located in a quiet area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The new bathroom suite was impressive, especially the spacious shower cubicle. Despite not having a kitchen, the addition of a mini fridge, toaster, and kettle along with cutlery and crockery made breakfast easy and convenient. The bedrooms were a good size with plenty of wardrobe space. The nearby pub, The Bush Inn, served delicious food and was just a short walk away. The hosts were incredibly helpful and clearly put a lot of effort into cleaning and maintaining the property. Plus, the cake waiting for us upon arrival was a lovely touch!
